2. Helping the Body Remember Balance
The challenge
Steve came with persistent lower back pain and discomfort in one knee. Watching him work in the garden revealed an ingenious posture he used to reach the back of flower borders without damaging the plants.
It allowed him to work efficiently, but his body had begun treating that position as normal.
What we discovered
Even when standing still, his weight remained unevenly distributed, with one side of his body working much harder than the other.
Years of compensation had created a constant twisting pattern, placing unnecessary strain on his back and joints long after the gardening was finished.
The outcome
Our work focused on helping his body rediscover efficient balance.
Gradually it relearned how to move into demanding postures when needed, then return to a more relaxed, symmetrical way of standing and moving that reduced strain.
Whether the challenge is showing up in your body, your work or your personal life, help is at hand.
